Tyeese L. Gaines, DO, MBA, MA, FACEP, CPE provides independent medical examinations, record reviews, expert opinions and courtroom testimony regarding illnesses and injuries related to worker’s compensation cases, occupational medicine cases, disability cases, emergency medicine patients and urgent care. Dr. Gaines is board-certified in emergency medicine and in full-time clinical practice in urgent care and emergency medicine settings in Northern New Jersey. She is the founder, Chief Executive Office and Medical Director for NOWmed Walk-In Urgent Care in Jersey City, NJ, a practice which provides the typical urgent care services, as well as immigration physicals, travel medicine, occupational medicine and care for work-related injuries. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston and her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, Dr. Gaines completed her residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital where she was chief resident and later taught as clinical instructor. In addition to her medical training, she also has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s Degree in Journalism. Dr. Gaines earned certification as a Physician Executive (CPE) in 2017 from the American Association of Physician Leaders, and a certificate in Urgent Care Management from the Urgent Care Association of America (UCA) in 2018.
